The first international 24-hour channel CBC TV Azerbaijan was visited by PTC Holding. The TV channel is making a film about the development of the Middle Corridor, an important transport route, and cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in this area.
The Middle Corridor is an international transport corridor that runs through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and further to Turkey and European countries. This route plays an important role in ensuring cargo transportation and the development of economic relations between the countries of the region. The visit of CBC TV Azerbaijan and an interview with the Chairman of the Board of PTC Holding Timur Karabayev allow us to consider in more detail the prospects for the development of this strategically important corridor.
Due to the geopolitical situation, the eyes of shippers from Southeast Asia and China are closely focused on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. TMTM is now the mainstream of the transport and logistics system. According to Timur Karabayev, Chairman of the Management Board, “by 2025, the Middle Corridor will look completely different – with a different cargo base and a different amount of passing cargo.” By this time, the infrastructural difficulties that the corridor participants are currently experiencing will be partially solved. In particular, in the first quarter of next year, PTC Holding plans to launch a new multimodal terminal in Poti.
