It has been 23 days since PTC Holding employees switched to a remote working environment. Director of Internal Control of the company Chingiskhan Shakuov gives his comments on how the production issues were solved and whether there are further difficulties in business operation.
– Chingiskhan Zhusupovich, how did Covid-19 and quarantine regime change the production of the holding?
– PTC Holding Group still operates as normal. Our employees have quickly adapted to new environments, although their homes became their new offices. Our IT specialists support this in every way, even in the most difficult moments. Work from the main server is carried out in a coherent manner, with our clients being treated in the same way. However, due to the current spread of Covid-19 worldwide, the overall consumption of our petroleum products fell along with the transportration volumes.
– Is it possible to solve production issues in the same way as in the office?
Or are there any problems, maybe you had to give up something?
– Every morning routine starts with an online conference where we mark and solve all current issues. Though it is online but we are always in contact with each other, thansk to the modern coomunication applications. I had to give up “live” communication, but the business finally turned towards digitalization. We can work remotely, thanks to the professionalism and competence of our specialists.
